Dr. Tom Marrs grew up in a heavy equipment salvage yard in the small central Texas town of Rockdale. From an early age he had an affinity for the question “why?” which has driven his exploration of human behavior and commonalities in what causes people to get into life crashes. A licensed psychologist, Tom spent 12 years as one of two clinicians providing counseling to over 10,000 employees and their dependents at the Texas A&M University Employee Assistance Program. Tom now has a private practice, and is a human resources specialist, serendipitously, for the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. In his spare time, Tom enjoys travelling with his wife and son, and teaching interpersonal psychology at the Center for Executive Development at the Texas A&M Mays School of Business.
